Re-envisioning our Iconic Sidestripe Shoe with Purposeful Materials.

We’ve rebuilt some of our most iconic classics with purposeful choices about the materials we use. Featuring deconstructed uppers made from suede and organic cotton canvas, an outsole that uses natural rubber, and a biobased foam footbed for comfort you can feel good about, the Old Skool Tapered VR3 Shoes deliver a classic Vans aesthetic while working toward a better future. They also feature a more slender and fitted silhouette than the traditional Old Skool.

To earn the VR3 Checkerboard globe logo, at least 30% of the product must be made up of one or a combination of recycled, renewable, and/or regenerative materials.

PRODUCT FEATURES
• UPPER MATERIAL: Made with suede and 100% organic cotton canvas. Vans leather products support responsible manufacturing via the Leather Working Group.
• FOOTBED: The new VR3Cush™ footbed is made using at least 25% biobased EVA foam partially derived from plants per the ASTM D6866-16 testing standard.
• OUTSOLE: The VR3Waffle™ outsole is made with a proprietary compound containing at least 25% responsibly sourced natural rubber obtained from sources that follow proven sustainable practices with the intention of reducing impacts on the planet. This natural rubber compound was developed and engineered to maintain the grip and durability Vans is known for (since 66).
